At Nooitgedacht Mountain Trails we have a wide variety of activities on offer. Enjoy mountain biking, hiking, bird watching, game drives and more. Stay over in our accomodation facilities, or join us as a day visitor. NMT is situated on Nooitgedacht Game Reserve and is 120 kilometres from Johannesburg, perfect for a day break or weekend getaway. 

 

 

Mountain Biking

For the mountain bike enthusiast the game drive route varies from easy riding to challenging trials. The mountain biking experience on offer at Nooitgedaght Mountain Trails has been voted ***

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hiking

A variety of savanna grassland, riverine forest, high mountain and woodland make for a scenic hiking experience up to the highest point of the Magalies mountain range with a magnificent view of the Magalies river valley and Buffelspoort. From easy strolls to experienced hiking in the unspoiled nature area.

 

Bird Watching

More than 200 species of trees and shrubs provide for over 200 different species of birds. Black Eagles, Tawny Eagles, Fish Eagles, Marshall Eagle, Secretary Birds, Hornbills, Red billed Wood Hoopoe-hoe's to name a few. The vulture restaurant feeds over 400 Cape Griffin, Lappet Faced and White Back Vultures.

 

 

 

 

Game Drives

Game drives in open safari vehicles allow for excellent game viewing. The more than 20 different species of game include giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, eland, gemsbok, kudu, impala, leopard, hyena and many more.

Accomodation

The luxury tented Ingwe Bush Camp nestles in the tranquility of a riverine forest under the highest peak of the Magaliesberg.

The fully furnished carpeted tents can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child per tent. Each tent has an on suite bathroom and equipped kitchen facilities, verandah and braai area. All tents are self-catering and linen, cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils are provided.
